(Mastung Operation) 4 Terrorists Killed in Balochistan
Security Forces Kill Four Terrorists in Mastung Operation IBO
Security forces killed four terrorists on Friday in an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Balochistan’s Mastung district, the military’s media arm said in a statement.
The successful execution of the Mastung Operation underscores the commitment of the security forces to combat terrorism.
Background of the Operation
There were rumors of terrorists from Fitna al Hindustan; hence, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) decided to perform the IBO. When referring to members of the proscribed Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan terrorist organization, the state uses the word “Fitna al Khwarij.“In order to attract attention to India’s stated participation in terrorism and instability throughout Pakistan, it later dubbed groups based in Balochistan as Fitna-al-Hindustan.
ISPR’s Statement
Four Indian-sponsored terrorists were sent to hell after an intense fire exchange, which occurred during the conduct of the operation,” the ISPR stated. Terrorists who were slain were determined to have been engaging in terrorist activities in the area, and their firearms, ammunition, and explosives were also confiscated, according to the statement.
Security Forces’ Commitment
As the ISPR put it, “The security forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe out the menace of Indian-sponsored terrorism from the country and reaffirm the nation’s unwavering resolve to bring the perpetrators of terrorism to justice.”
Thus, they are launching a sanitization operation to eliminate any more terrorists from the region.
Government’s Response
The operation was a success, and the minister of interior, Mohsin Naqvi, thanked the security officers.
“Pakistan’s security forces foiled the evil plots of terrorists supported by India,” he stated on X.
“I pay tribute to the security forces for their successful operation against Indian-sponsored terrorists.”
Recent Operations in KP
A day prior, security forces killed 19 terrorists in three distinct operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, according to an ISPR statement.
Rise in Terrorist Activities
Pakistan has lately been experiencing an uptick in terrorist activities, mainly in KP and Balochistan.
In November 2022, the TTP, after violating a ceasefire accord with the government, had threatened to escalate attacks against the security forces, the police, and other law enforcement agencies’ soldiers.
